DINO12 Conference Starts


  • Abstracts must be presented using the official template you will find at the end of this page.

  • Abstracts must be submitted through the online form you will find on this web page.

  • The abstract will be submitted under the complete acceptance of the submission criteria.

  • The Dino 12 Conference Scientific Committee reserves the right to reject any abstract, if it does not meet these criteria.

  • A maximum of 10 co-authors (including the presenting author) can sign the Abstract.

  • The abstracts will have a limit of 2000 characters (controlled by the form).

  • The presenting author shall indicate the presentation format: oral communication or poster. However, the Scientific Committee will decide over the final format.

  • The presenting Author must choose on of the listed thematic areas: A. Climate Change, B. Ecology, C. Toxic Dinoflagellates and Biotoxins, D. Palaeoecology and Palaeoceanography, E. Mesozoic and Cenozoic Dynocyst Stratigraphies, F. Phanerozoic and deep tim scales, G. Dinocyst Systematics, H. Life Cycles and Nutritional Strategies, I. Biodiversity and Systematics, J. Stratigraphy, K. Evolution, L. Taxonomy

  • Please avoid diagrams, illustrations, tables, references or graphics in the abstract. Provide maximum relevant information in the abstract and if the subject matter is empirical, the following structure is obligatory: The objective, methods, results, conclusions.

  • Please indicate 4 keywords for your abstract.

  • The presenting author can attach to the form a document on PDF or JPG format of maximum 10 MB.

  • We encourage colleages who presented their works for the original dates (2020), to present it again updating data's and information which might add value to the conference and underpin the debate (The technical Secretariat will contact them directly to comment this point).


  • Oral communications will acount with 10-minute presentation of your work followed by questions, in a Chaired session with other presenters.
  • Moderator will control the questions and comments of the attendees
  • Each session will have a moderator who will control the timing of every speaker


  • Once your abstracts have been approved by the Scientific Committee, it is required that you send the presentation with a video format
  • The Technical Secretariat will send you a link where you will be able to upload this video
  • The video should have a maximun of 10 minutes lenght
  • The video should be upload according to the deadline set above
  • Your video presentation will be played on the corresponding session and hall


  • The Technical Secretariat will print all posters (this service cost 35€)

  • Posters will be organised according the topics on the times set by the Scientific Committee

  • The Technical Secretariat will place all posters according to the critirias given by the Scientific Committee

  • The posters authors will design them according to the following sizes: 0,90 m. wide - 1,50 m. high

  • In the case of on site participants, at least one of the authors must defend the poster at the time set by the Scientific Committee
